The Barre Legacy | 3.4
The next installation of the Barre legacy, the very first family to play through The Board Game Challenge!
Last time with the Barre legacy, there was much hassle getting the children into private school, but success was finally ours, and so were grilled cheese sandwiches! The children grew, and a new bouncy baby candy Barre was born. A PayDay Barre! Snickers and Butterfinger started their journeys as young grilled cheese sims, while Reeses and Payday tried to resist the allure cheesy goodness. Edmund died, Butterfinger nearly froze to death, and Mounds nearly burned to death. But everything turned out okay!
My goodness! Our generation 3 heir is an elder already! Where did time go?! At least she looks happy about it.

But so messy. >:[ Payday is the only kid with over 3 neat points. OH GOODY. We have a LOOOT of shower puddles in this house. But then they usually mop them up right afterward... HOW ABOUT YOU JUST NOT MAKE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE??
Yeah... they study a lot. They make less messes that way. :P But they do all really need to amp up their cooking skills. They've got a lifetime of making grilled cheese sandwiches ahead of them! I want as few house fires as possible, kthnx. Not that maxed cooking skill has ever made a difference in this family, though. Shall we remember Mounds' first day at Cloud Cupcake? Twix had max cooking skill, and he set that place on fire. And Mounds herself has max cooking skill, and she set HERSELF on fire last week just trying to finish a Baked Alaska. *sigh*
Never mind my grilled cheese art sweat shop. >_>;; The next house needs to be appropriately decorated, mkay?! Not that there's a lot of wall space left. :P I've been working on the next house already, as the family has to move when the next generation takes over, and I have been trying SO HARD to make it expensive so the family isn't just hanging onto a million dollars in petty cash. -__- They're at $950,000 right now, and I've gotten the house up to about $310,000 in value... but I've still got a long way to go. XD
Mounds failed at the task earlier, as mentioned, but I was actually trying to clear leftovers out of their fridge when Mounds set herself on fire. She made a bunch of Baked Alaska for her bakery, but I HATED what the lighting on these things was doing to the display cases, and I couldn't sell them right out of Mounds' inventory for some reason, so... into the fridge they went. But then they started annoying me when I saw them all the time. XD But seriously, who thought making giant stacks of whipped egg whites glow THIS FUCKING BRIGHT was a good idea?! *flaily arms* It's terrible! They're not even on fire yet, so where is this light coming from?? Augh!
The kids are helping clear the fridge out of excessive leftovers as well, but in a manner less detrimental to their retinas. GlaDos was taking one for the team! I assume since she's been welding robots together without any protective eye gear, she could handle the Baked Alaskas.
Woo! Overachiever status FINALLY achieved, and for two of the kidlets! Though them coming home from work together made me realize...
Those grilled cheese sandwiches are really going to their pores. :P Yuk.

If I've learned anything from my customer service/front of the house training at culinary school... it's that you just do whatever the customer wants. If they're paying you, and it's not illegal... just do it. So yeah, sure dude.
What an asshat! Man, I am having no luck with chance cards lately. :P And no luck getting overachievers quickly. :P
O_O ho damn. Another rogue robot! And GlaDos is just sitting there, all nonchalant, as her eldest son is electrocuted by her creation. Yup, definitely evil. But we love her anyway.

This thing went on a RAMPAGE, man!! I kept trying to get someone to catch it and turn it off, but it kept ESCAPING. Vengeful, VENGEFUL little security bot.
We did finally catch it, though, and I had GlaDos fix it ASAP. It then escaped again before she finished fixing it and electrocuted her again, but THEN we got it all fixed and settled.
Almost time for Snickers' next birthday! And as per generation 4 rules, all grilled cheese sims must be in platinum aspiration before any important events such as birthdays and weddings, soo... Snickers needs to eat some grilled cheese sandwiches first and be happier. XD EAT, GIRL, EAT!
And now... eat some cake. I'm sure you've got room in there with all those sandwiches... >_>
This girl just loves changing her hair color... she went dark red as a child, and now she's practically blonde as an adult. SUPER PRETTY, THOUGH~~~
Set her up with an in-between red color. I think it's the one she had as a toddler.. She didn't turn out too bad at all! :D Much less gremlin-y. I know they grow out of a lot of facial deformities as they age up, but she was just SO GREMLIN-Y. I didn't think it could all go away. XD
Oh goody. Luckily there was still some leftover grandma's comfort soup in the fridge from Edmund so I managed to fix everyone up real quick, but that was a mini-epidemic.
STOP IT, SECURITY BOT. I think it was actually doing it's job this time, because Butterfinger's aspiration was low from not eating enough grilled cheese sandwiches, so it's quite possible he threw a little hissy fit and kicked the garbage can over, causing the security bot to electrocute him... but this was the last straw. XD I just sold it after this. It had quite enough fun for one lifetime.

ALL OF THEM, EVEN THE DEAD ONES. I don't think Chocolate likes quite how much Mounds looks like her now that she's an elder too. XD Somebody's jealous~~~

Not TOO bad. Not my favorite, the nose is still really short, but he's much less pug-ish than he was as a child.
And GlaDos! Sexy beast. I toned her down a little for elderdom, but she's still damned awesome. :D

As will grandma's comfort soup. Everyone got sick again. -__- Reeses finally had enough aspiration points to learn how to make the soup, so I was ALL OVER THAT. It was spreading like wildfire. o_o

So much beautiful~~~ These kids turned out WAY better than I thought they would. And that's even with having looked at them as adults in body shop back when they were toddlers so I could compare their facial genetics with their parents'. They look way better in-game and with makeup. XD
Again, I'm in culinary school. There's no WAY I am picking that no-flavor option. :P I don't even care what you guys throw at us.
Okay then! We can deal with that.
Not that we needed that $10,000 extra. WE AREN'T EVEN AT GENERATION 4 YET, AND THEY'RE NEARLY MILLIONAIRES. I wish it was this easy in real life to make bank. DANG.

GlaDos is embracing her old lady side and traded her robot station for a sewing desk. And here she sits in this random room full of other items I only bought because my sims wanted them. XD It used to be Edmund and Milky Way's bedroom, now it just holds a fireplace, a few decorative items, and that sewing table that she wanted so dearly.
… I feel like my updates are just snippets of life between birthdays. SO MANY BIRTHDAYS. I am almost tired of looking at cake. I think I might take less pictures of birthdays in the future. :P Just take a picture of the post-age up makeover and call it good. Buh.
BUT DANG THIS IS A GOOD POST-AGE UP MAKEOVER. Payday is DAMN handsome.
