Oh my goodness, another update so soon?! Why, it's like Christmas!
Really though, it has been so much fun playing The Sims again. @_@ I haven't played a legacy family in SO FREAKING LONG, I forgot how amazing it is. I sort of started playing around with the game again in the past few months, once the fiance suggested selfsims of the both of us, but that just does not compare at all to a legacy, now does it? NOPE. So I have just been having a blast. I am a bit rusty on managing so many sims though, so this entry is definitely concentrated on the kiddies, and even that feels a bit rushed, but I've got to ease back into it! I'll get better again, I promise. XD And with that...
Ah, yes. Ashlee, Isaac, and Egg. When I first loaded the Pokemons back up again after my 19-month hiatus, I saw that I had already moved this trio out of the main house, but didn't really have any photo documentation of it, so I'm not totally sure what happened. I'm assuming that I was just trying to get the next gen going, and there wasn't any room for babies with all of them still residing there. Also, I still have a nasty hack conflict in my game that rules out any males aging into elder. Game crashes every time. So I needed to get Isaac out of there before he did, and I REALLY need to figure out what's causing that. :/ (So if anyone has any ideas, PRETTY PLEASE direct me to them! <3)
But, back at the main house, there are definitely babies in the near future!
Nearer future!
And everyone is very eagerly awaiting their arrival! And I am DEFINITELY one of those people, because omg generation 7. This is the farthest I have ever gotten in a legacy and it is sooo exciting.
One more pop...
And thar she blows! Though I'm having trouble deciphering whether the males are more concerned about Skiploom giving birth in the middle of the living room, or whether Sherlock is just making a REALLY bad move in chess.
Skiploom: THIS IS A VERY STRANGE FEELING. O_____O
Sherlock: That chess move was RIDICULOUS! What was I even thinking?!
Skiploom: It's a baby!
Sherlock: Oh my goodness. I just realized what piece I should have moved instead... I just hate it when that happens. You figure out what you should have done right after you do something the other way. :/
Skiploom: Baby!
And it is indeed! A baby girl, Meowth!
And moments later (well, more like 5 hours) it's baby time for Laurence and Metapod!
Another baby girl, Sandshrew!
Skiploom: Augh! Why does his baby look exactly like mine?! I wanted to be original~~
Laurence: Actually, I'm a bit confused too, as to why our babies are identical. o_O
Well, they are both girls. And S3. With alien eyes... but Meowth has black hair while Sandshrew has brown? :D Totally not twins or anything.
Skiploom & Laurence.: ...so they're identical then.
>___>
Skiploom: I'm not totally positive that this baby is mine, but I'm going to just say it is because that one is stinky.
Metapod: That's not fair. :(
Luckily, the baby confusion didn't last TOO long, because it was soon birthday time for Meowth and Sandshrew!
Meowth!
and Sandshrew! Definitely not twins anymore. Like, at ALL.
And the skilling BEGINNNNSSSS~~~~
The Generation Yellow challenges of the Awesimsauce Legacy are:
- Maxed Skills
- 5 Points in All Hobbies
- 15 Friends Made by Computer/Phone
So I have NO. TIME. TO. WASTE. on getting these little ladies skilled up, man. I don't want it to be a lifelong quest to get this stuff done. XD
SmartMilk? Oh yes.
*evil cackle*
You two had better ask your parents' permission before you go wandering off to any hobby lots, you hear? I'm not totally sure how I feel about all these random adults just walking into my house and inviting my toddlers to their ~special places~ anyway. Parental supervision advised!!
Ho yeah! One down, 6 each to go!
Sherlock, spouse of Skiploom, has reached his first top-of-career! Just one more to go! (even though I'm totally not required to have the spouses do the challenges. XD My OCD likes it though. Everything equal~~~)
And it's suddenly time for the toddlers to become children! All they really did was skill until they were just too tuckered out to do anymore, sleep, eat, and begin all over again! There was a little bit of play and talking to their parents, but yeah... I worked those little kids. >_> And non-stop skilling doesn't make for very interesting screencaps. XD
Oh, they are some pretty girls. I am most pleased.
Oh look, skilling. >_______>;;;
Some of it's fun, though!! Meowth chose to do this one all on her own, I swearz. She wanted to be like Daddy. <3
And after a few hours of painting next to Daddy, she ran out and welcomed Mommy home with a hug. <3 I had enough time to make everyone best friends in there, too. Oh yeah, I'm good.
And I had time for this too!
And just before it was time for Skiploom to evolve into an elder. Man, gen 6 is coming to a fast close!
Still dang pretty. <3
And even though I can't get my males to elder-ize, I still gave all the boys white hair to show that they're SUPPOSED to be elders now. XD It was the least I could do. Well, actually, I suppose it was the MOST I could do in regards to the ever-eternal young lives of my male sims.
Yeah... Meowth and Skiploom tend to live off cake. It's so much faster for me to have Skiploom go to the fridge and grab out a cake I had her make earlier than to prepare meals when enough people are hungry for them. By the time she's done making it, everyone's all off in their own directions or gone to work or school, and AUGH. Big families are hard, man. But cake is easy! AND DELICIOUS. I love cake for breakfast, personally. I am so excited for my summer break coming up. The fiance and I will celebrate both our birthdays during it (July 20 and July 31) so I will definitely enjoy having some cake for breakfast sometime in there. Being bad is just so good. <3
And besides, cake is brainfood! Both Meowth and Sandshrew are getting straight A's at private school, despite their diet of cake. XD
Sandshrew got a magic lamp! And kids only get two lame choices for wishes, so I let her wish for ~peace of mind~. I don't even know what that one DOES, but hey. It sounds nice.
I'm making serious headway on their skilling, so now I'm starting to work on the hobby enthusiasm! I think this is going to be the hardest one. :/ Keeping ALL the hobbies at 5 enthusiasm while you're working on the rest of them? Gack!
Second top-of-career for Sherlock!
And the first one for Laurence! Gogo spouses!
And gogo more birthdays! Man, I told you guys this gen is moving fast. I do NOT know what it was. I think it was just all the skilling. That is ALL they did in their free time. Nothing fun or interesting to take pictures of, just skilling. Skilling, skilling, skilling, making sure there's no motive failure, skilling. XD Oh, and then some skilling.
Gorgeous~~~
I decided to make Sandshrew a little edgier, the good-girl hair got a little too big on the teen head. >_> Plus, I wanted to give her some of her daddy Metapod's face spots, and it just seemed to give her a little more edge already. Es bueno. <3
It's such a shocker, I know. See? Sandshrew is surprised.
These are probably not girls I would have been friends with in high school, honestly. Pretty AND good at everything? Yeah. No one likes those girls. Sandshrew just brought the same girl home from school every day all through elementary school and high school. No one else, just that one girl. I think it was her only friend.
And top-of-career #2 for Laurence! That's all of generation green set and ready to go! I don't feel that picky about them making $100,000 each. >_> The heirs did it, that's what matters. I figure after a life of work the spouses will get close enough to that to not worry about it.
All skills maxed!
And all hobbies with at least 5 points! These girls have NO social lives! NONE!
So now it's time to get them started on making those 15 computer/phone friends. >_< Oy vey! I think just one girl at a time for this, because it's gonna take AGES. So, Meowth first!
Whooops! Paid too much attention to Meowth, and NOT enough attention to Sandshrew, who was abusing the exercise bike. >_< But, of course, as soon as I got her off the floor and into bed...
Sherlock did the same thing. >_< And that's when the bike went away. Everyone but Skiploom was already max fitness anyway from abusing it so much, so it's not like they needed it anymore. Freaks.
After like, 5 million years of trying to call people before Meowth went to school, but after 7am, and after she got off work, but before midnight, I FINALLY got her 15 friends that she met online, and then chatted up on the phone. So... Meowth is done! All of the yellow generation's challenge for her is complete, so she can actually have a life now! WOO!
HO BEJEEBUS. Sandshrew is a fortune sim... and she's a very HAPPY fortune sim, so she has that "investing" lifetime aspiration award thing? Yeah...
This is a typical week in the Pokemon household right now. Every single afternoon, she just HAULS in the money. She's only lost us money once, $60,000, but she made back that same amount a couple days later, to add to the $30,000 or so she earned in the days inbetween. GOOD GRIEF. The Pokemons have like, 2 million dollars now or something ridiculous.
Ah, see! 2 million dollars. But this screenshot was actually to show that Skiploom is nearing her end and I have to move her out soon! D:
But I was desperate to keep gen 6 around at LEAST until Meowth and Sandshrew became adults, so I quickly shuffled Skiploom over to Sandshrew's magic lamp and had her wish for the power to cheat death, just in case it came for her before the girls were ready to evolve.
And it worked! The family was there for them on their special day. :3
Um, girls..? YELLOW. Not blue. That was 6 generations ago, so you are WAY late on the "blue" front.
I gave Meowth her dad's freckles, and Sandshrew is still totally rocking her dad's face spots. I am most pleased. I definitely like how different they turned out, despite such similar genetics. That could have turned out pretty dang boring, just sayin'.
And with generation 7 all grown and ready to start actually LIVING, now (as soon as I get Sandshrew HER 15 computer/phone friends, anyway. >_<) generation 6 must say goodbye before Skiploom kicks the bucket. :( BYE GUISE! The house is going to be CRAZY empty without you. And I have to start the mating rituals all over again! Just gotta remember how I do this. XD
Thanks for reading, everyone, and thank you again for sticking around all this time! I SUPER appreciate it. <333 You guys are awesome.
