Amber in Sparks: Sparks Grove BACC

New Household? New Household!

Andrea Amber doesn't have much of a backstory. I made her on a whim. She's gonna be a stylist, so Sparks Grove residents can get haircuts. And I made my little catahoula pup, Kotari, to see how close I could get. Not a bad job if I had to say so.

Andrea liked what she saw of Sparks Grove. She had gotten to know the two founders and soon she would have her own neighborhood. She was very thankful there was a grocery store already as well. Gardening wasn't her favorite thing.

Building her little cottage took all her availably funds with just an empty shell of a house. But Sarah Sparks mentioned there was decent luck digging for treasure.

"You ready to get dirty Kotari?" She asked her happy pup.

Kotari barked happily. Getting dirty sounded fun!

They got started right away.

Her first full day went by so fast. She ignored the typical welcome wagon and focused on digging. She was only able to afford a few things after digging all day.

The next morning, she didn't want to neglect her social needs and spent the morning chatting with Sarah Sparks and Billie Wells.

Wednesday she finally dug up enough things to afford the land for her boutique. She named it Amber's Boutique. Mainly cause she couldn't think of something catchier.

On Thursday, she was able to put enough things together to actually start her business.

She wasn't sure if anyone would come. But sure enough the moment she got behind her hair people started arriving.

"Just a little off the top please." Toby Bruenig said.
"Gotcha!"

"How about a little more on the top?" She said after a whirlwind of cutting.
"Oooo, I love it!"

She did much better than she would have ever thought. Everyone loved their new looks. She got so close to getting a cash grant for her hard work.

She was getting tired, so it was time to close up. Excitement buzzed through her. She couldn't wait to come back tomorrow.

She was luckier with her morning digging session and was able to get a few things for the house. She decided learning to clothing would be perfect to expand her shop.

Later that night, Shea Johnson happened to stop by.
"Andrea, I just wanted to thank you again. I've never felt more like myself."
"You're very welcome!"

Turns out he was more than a little appreciative.

Shea moved in with $17k and Andrea knew she had found the one. She was a half family sim and family sims just knew things like this. He was a popularity/knowledge sim and wanted to be a Hall of Famer. Moving out here would make it harder, but Sparks Grove was bound to grow.

Shea was happy to spend his funds on sprucing up the Boutique. He even bought the expensive cologne display.
"This is so much Shea."
"This is for our future, it'll pay for itself soon enough." Shea smiled. "Plus you can buy the exercise machines when we open up a gym."

There wasn't as much interest sims getting a haircut, but the cologne station was a hit. They made it to rank 1 and won the cash grant.

"Sorry I've been so busy Baby Bubs." Andrea sighed. She had definitely been neglecting her goofy goober.
Kotari wagged his tail. He knew she was working hard to make a life for them. She was just the best. And she let him sleep in the bed no matter how stinky he was.

They did a lot of work on the house as well. $17k sadly didn't go as far as Shea had hoped. But he was able to get an exercise machine. He decided he was going to open a gym since being a Hall of Famer was on hold for now.

"Here let me help out with those sore muscles." Andrea offered.
"I'll give you ten minutes to stop." Shea replied.

In their small dark hallway, Andrea knelt on one knee.
"Shea, will you marry me?" Andrea asked.
"Of course."
And Shea Johnson became Shea Amber.

They got a new bed to celebrate their wedding and immediately ran upstairs to test it out. And a new little Amber was on the way.

Shea spent the next morning on the phone with Sarah Sparks. He wanted to open a gym and start building funding for building a stadium.
"That sounds like a great idea Shea." Sarah said. "It's gonna be a lot of work, but if you can get at least $250k saved up. We can probably lean on Skout's Hill to help build a stadium. I guess we just need to decide what kind, I heard kicky ball is popular."
"I was thinking soccer, I'm terrible at kicky ball." Shea laughed.
"Sounds like a plan, Shea. Welcome to Sparks Grove and good luck!" Sarah hung up the phone with a click.
Excitement bubbled in his chest. Moving out here and building a new life didn't mean giving up on his dreams. And if Sparks Grove got a population boost, Andrea could get a journalism job as well.

Andrea napped most of the day, but overall her pregnancy wasn't exhausting her. She found some time to work on her sewing badge. She couldn't wait to make her own clothes.

Sunday, Andrea spent her time on the phone. She was excited to get to know Billie Wells more. The young woman had just moved in next door. It would be so fun to have a close neighbor.

Shea spent the day digging. By evening he was finally able to afford the land for Shea's Gym.

He even had enough to put together a small nursery in the front bedroom. It had been a whirlwind of a week. Shea couldn't be more excited to for their future.

Shea wasn't my first choice for Andrea, but I'm starting to warm up to him. I was hoping she would like Kennedy Cox or Komei Tellermen. But Shea is a great sim. They're both popularity sims. So I want to make sure they're really social next round. I need to brave doing more parties.

The gym doesn't count yet for a CAS point, since it's a empty lot. I think when I'm in a building mode, I'll make some premade businesses.
