I used to smoke but now I haven't a clue.

Smoking isn't good, so it's good that you don't use it as a de-stresser anymore.

Well, I was going to say sex but that led to smoking too.

Eat. It's a bad habit. I can't help it.

Sometimes I eat when I'm stressed. It is a bad de-stressor thing, you're right.

Escapism through fandom/violent/scary movies and loud music. Also, I go for a walk whenever it gets too much.

Walks are good. I should try that; I was looking for alternatives for dealing with stress other than what I usually do.

Walking is great! I know it's cold, but even the cool air is refreshing. Going to the balcony for example..

I don't mind walking in the cold. I had a very nice walk today. It was cold but sunny and that made the walk very nice. And there were duckies. Sunshine + duckies = good things. The sunshine can be a bit rare in the winter. Stupid Pacific Northwest weather.

Yeah, I can see why that'd be damaging. I usually end up feeling guilty after I shop when stressed, and then return things.

Cross stitch or take an extremely hot shower.

I tried cross stitch a few times. I always mis-counted and gave up. Patterns are very difficult for me; I can't follow them.
