now for the crazy thing that happened today

two crazy stories in one day, can you handle it? so this took place today, but luckily didn't involve me. i was an innocent bystander.
i was sitting in my movie class taking notes and listening to my professor rave about the director john ford. this is a fairly large class that is squeezed into a fairly small space. most of the people that are late would rather just take a seat on the stairs then climb over everyone for that small coveted seat in the middle of the row during the lecture. we were talking about light and dark and how he uses them in movies. there was a faint buzzing going on, but nothing unusual for these old UT buildings with all the electricity running through them.
then all of a sudden the lights dimmed for an instant and there was a loud pop accompanied by flames. one of the outlets on the wall had exploded and some of the flames made a mad dash for the girl sitting by the wall and made a nice home on her back. the guy behind her patted her down to extinguish the flames and she put out the mini fire on the wall, unaware that she herself was on fire. the whole class was in a riot over what was going on. the professor kept asking from the front, "is she ok? are you ok? is everything ok?" luckily she was fine. thank god she was wearing an undershirt. she took off the charred one and held it up. there was a huge hole burnt all the way through on the back. it was insane! everyone was freaked out. so after the professor made a few cracks about suing the school and complaining to the dean, he tied the event to lecture..."like i was saying about light and dark..." then everyone was able to laugh about what had just happened.
my days have been filled with chaos. wonder what will happen tomorrow.

XOXOXO and anxious about what tomorrow will bring,
Connie <3
