Update
So, last Friday evening, Will and I went out the the Starbucks (yes, even here...) in American Village (which is a shopping center/neighborhood) and met the fine folks of the Okinawa Freethought Society.
I got to spend a good deal of time talking with a gal named Jeane who comes to book club at the library - found out we got here around the same time and that we have lots of things in common.
So, today on my day off, we're going to get together and go do some exploring!
Will, btw, hit it off with her husband, so it looks like we have people to do "couples" things with too!
And we'll probably hang out with the OFS people more often. Good, intelligent, extra-liberal people.
