R-regarding the monster, It seems we will have to take larger safety precautions. It's too loud for comfort.

At any rate, let's move on. It's near enough to the end of the week that I should give the answer to those who did not get my puzzle. The answer is clear, as greenhouses are made of glass. It seems it was too easy for you all. How about ( Read more... )

Ha...! Simple. There was a forest fire and the man was lucky enough to go diving in the same reservoir that the helicopters used to fill their fire buckets.

I defended a guy in a case like this once.

Well, I suppose it's a matter of whether or not you know about this sort of thing. My thoughts aside, well done, Godot.

Ah...poor man. What was the verdict?

It was a case where the man's brother was accused of killing him over a nasty love triangle, drowning him while he was diving and dumping the body in the woods, then setting a fire to hide the evidence. Of course that's idiotic. I posed the very puzzle you did and the evidence matched up, so he was acquitted and they ruled it a freak accident.

Ah, law! Truly the greatest show on earth.

!! How...terrible. I never thought that puzzles would come in handy in such a way.

It seems that anything goes in the courtrooms you work in.

Still, you seem to be strangely...apathetic, if I may say so. How long have you been working in the field of law?

Well, I did say I was a former lawyer. It's been... nearly six years since I've practiced, but before that I was an attorney for five years.

Even so, a lawyer never cries until it's over. To wear a smile on your face even when your guts are knotted up like pretzels... that's the mark of a true professional. When your client is in the deepest valley of despair, you've got to smile enough for both of you.

A seasoned pro, then. It seems I don't know who I'm dealing with.

That's beautiful, Mr. Godot, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. You would make a lovely leader.
