30 days as a freebird

As a freebird, without any mental agony…no deadlines to meet or an exam to study for!!  I was starting to forget how it felt like to sleep all i want and to have some “me-time”.

When i first got done with finals, i actually didnt even know what to do with my free time..i mostly just caught up on all my lost sleep during the semester..decluttered my room…caught up on some tv shows…got to spent lots of time at home with family…did my share of baking and burning…got to get back in touch with some friends..it felt awesome

I just wanted to take a moment to cherish this feeling…because i know i will miss this and its going to seem so distant in few weeks.

After this semester i will be done with the hardest year in pharmacy school (according to upperclassmen).  My fall semester had its share of ups and downs, but i got through it somehow with Gods grace.

One thing i learned after starting graduate school was to let go of my grades…the teaching assistants are probably sick of grading on top of their own coursework and seems to grade with a lot of wrathful intentions!!  I had to keep telling myself that “its not about the grades we make, its about the things we learn”

Another quote that i have posted on my wall is something i heard Sachin Tendulkar mentioning in an interview after we won the world cup..it stuck with me for some reason “Results and consequencs i cannot guarantee but true effort i can”..he always plays his game by giving 100% but sometimes we lose and sometime we win, there are lots of factors outside our control that determine these things but “true effort” is in our control and when we give that..there is nothing to regret!!

Another verse from bible that i love to look at everyday..it gives me lots of strength ”But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
