thanksgiving
so...thanksgiving was fun. went to my aunt's house in Laurens and had about 25 people there. we were there from wednesday till about noon today. HOWEVER...i woke up SICK SICK SICK wednesday morning. i went to the doctor this afternoon, and i have a sinus infection. i'm on a z-pack and something else, and she said i should be better in about 5 days...oh lord what a BITCH for this to happen right now! i have to do well on my juries! not to mention we have concert choir xmas concert in about a week, and a couple CA Christmas appearances as well. tintes will be beyond pissed. joy of joys. so yeah, i've been feeling pretty shitty ever since I got home. but my brother, mother, and my cousin Tem (she's my mom's age, actually), went to Belk and Wal-Mart @ 5 this morning, just for the heck of it. those people are CRAZY! it was quite amusing. but i did get about 5 DVD's (good ones) for $3.44 a pop. not too shabby.
so yeah now i'm hacking up a lung all the time. my family's going to the nutcracker tonight. actually, my brother and my mother are singing with the choir (it's at the end of the first act, if you didn't know), (we've done it several times in the past) and my dad and i have comp. tickets. actually, i was supposed to sing but i'm sick so my bro is going to sing falsetto. if he can. BAHA welcome to the Nevitt family ladies and gentlemen!
so yes, good food and good fun and good family time, and now antibiotics and trying to get all of my homework done for the next two weeks.
and i guess i'll go now. might work on something useful. might not.
OH WAIT...i forgot. so yeah, i left choir tour early to hear my orchestra piece read by the USC symphony orchestra (it's for orchestration class-our final project.) it could only be a minute long, but it was SO COOL (wow, i sound like i'm in middle school) and it sounded great (after a few tries of course). it was really a thrill. anybody who wants to hear it can, i'll get a real recording soon, but for now i got one of my friends in class to record it on my camcorder.
