My Computer Is A Phillip-Morris Reject

The Lanier (computer) guy Jon has finally assembled me a computer to take home and has finally assembled its replacement to remain at work. He also left me a lovely note detailing which computer I should take home, the pros and cons of each, and ultimately leaving the decision up to me. Unfortunately, the computer I'm used to has a brand spanking new hard drive that has a personality conflict with me and the new one (which will probably get a new home on Lemon Drive in a near future) smells like it desperately needs Nicorette and Chantix. It should come with a Surgeon General's warning. The lady who had possesed the chassis previously had smoked like a chimney...and apparently it hasn't aired out yet. I asked Jon if it came with potpourri. He was amused. He, also being a nonsmoker, thinks it's a cruel joke to leave it with me. I told him if I took up smoking so that the computer no longer gave me a headache, he's getting the chemo bills.

Got some music from Geoff. Love me some Frank Sinatra and Foghat and Ugly Kid Joe. Eclectic man, that Geoff.

Went to see an actual adult-type film the other day. Rephrase, not "adult" as in XXXXXXXX, but "adult" as in "no animated characters or storylines where the hero/heroine is under the age of 16". Saw "Mama Mia" with Allison. LOVED IT! The first "Dancing Queen" sequence is why movies are made. And Pierce Brosnan wet and without a shirt (repeatedly!) is why we keep going! The lady who plays Rosie was my favorite, but I couldn't place her. Then, with the help of IMDB, it hit me: She's Mrs. Weasley!! YAY! (Note: this is basically for Becca and Meggie as any HP reference amounts to a hill of beans with me.) But the lady was awesome. Especially crawling on the rooftop at the end.

School starts in about ten days. Tuesday is Genna's memorial soccer match. Tuesday is gonna be busy :) School registration and Madi's check-up for her tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

Should work now. Should. Probably won't, but should.
