summer plans
so i'm completely thinking about changing my summer plans, and i need to know whether or not i'm crazy! i'm looking for feedback here, and i figured this was the most time effective way in which to receive this feedback.
Plan A (the original plan):
Go to macon sometime after May 7 (graduation), after i've moved out of my apt. here. spend the summer in macon working - possibly an internship for the Ga. dept. of labor, and waiting tables at a restaurant nights/weekends. i'd spend a week or so at home first of may and start working sometime in the end of may.
Pros:
internship pays $1200, for 25 hrs/week for 2 months
i'd make a lot of money waiting tables
i've always wanted to wait tables
Cons:
might not get along with daddy and linda for such an extended time
don't really have a place to call my own at their house
would be really busy, same as this year
wouldn't get to be at home in new house at all
i'd barely be able to work any weekends in june anyway cause of prior committments
Plan B:
Live with my mom in Brent for the summer in the new house, and find a job somewhere there and make some money, not as much, but live at home.
Pros:
i'd get to live in the new house
my mom might finally get to feel like the house is her home if i've at least lived there a little
it'd be much more relaxed
i'd get to spend time with my family
there is a pool at my disposal
i'd have time to breathe and work on my pet projects (refinishing 2 pieces of furniture, and writing notes to future ZTA presidents)
i'd be spending my last real summer at home
Cons:
i wouldn't make near as much money
there is no telling what kind of job i'd actually find in the small town
i'd be farther from milledgeville and atlanta, making it a longer drive to the few things i have to be in GA for
my dad might not like it (still need to talk to him about this)
aight, well, that's what i'm thinking...seriously, i'd like your opinions on the matter!
