[ Say hello to kitty, who sits on the kitchen table and eyes you curiously. ]

[KITTY. Takumi inches his way over to the table- wouldn't want to startle it or anything. When he's close enough, he leans down a bit so that they're at eye level.] Hi, there. I didn't even notice you before. [Tentatively reaching out to pet it.]

[shizychan]

[ The kitty tenses at first, making sure Takumi isn't that weird drone boy that used to live here, but it soons accepts him by giving a small mewl and pushing its head against the boy's hand.

Meanwhile, a tall man has appeared behind you, drinking a bottle of milk. ]

[Takumi is thrilled by this development, and has a grand old time petting the cat-

At least, until he senses somebody behind him. He peers over his shoulder and it takes all of his willpower not to scream. Or jump a mile in the air. As it is, he squeaks a little bit, which is probably worse than screaming.]

[ The cat seems to know the comer as it meows at the blonde as a greeting, though it is disappointed when the petting stops so suddenly. ;_;

Shizuo on the other hand only slow blinks at the boy's reaction; really, you have no idea just how many times before people have reacted like that when realising that it's the fucking Shizuo Heiwajima... And yes, some of them have screamed as well.

So calmly, he reaches over the boy to place the milk bottle on the table. ] That leaves only the drone girl, huh...

[SORRY, KITTY, YOU'LL GET PLENTY OF LOVINS LATER.

...Shizuo could have been a pink fluffy bunny and Takumi still would've reacted the same way. It's scary when someone sneaks up on you, okay. Especially when that someone looms.]

I-I'm sorry, is this- your house? [BLANK STARE.] Drone girl?

[ Shizuo offers his hand to the cat and pets it in place of Takumi, glancing at the boy. ] Yeah, in a way, I suppose.

There used to be a whole family of drones around me, but last month the wife got replaced and not the boy's been placed by you, so only the drone girl left anymore.

[simplykind]

[More blank staring.] That doesn't make any sense.

[shizychan]

... So I take it no one has told you the details about this place?

[simplykind]

All I do know is we've been kidnapped, there were monsters that looked like angels, and nobody has found a way out yet.

[shizychan]

Well, drones are the original residents of this town, I suppose. You may even become one if you're unlucky. But basically the drones are replaced by the newcomers usually.

[simplykind]

Become one? [THAT SOUNDS KIND OF HORRIFYING???]

[shizychan]

Yeah, but some say that it might mean you get back home if you become one permanently.

[simplykind]

[He's taking this in with raised eyebrows. A LITTLE DUBIOUS, but. He's experienced- and heard -much stranger things in his short life.]

So it is possible to leave...in theory.

What you said before, about a wife and kids. Are we arranged in family units?

[shizychan]

There's no proof of it, but at least we can hope. [ He shrugs, raising the cat into his arms and soon placing it down on his shoulder. ]

Seems like so. I had to live with just drones in this house for six months. [ Frown. ]

[simplykind]

Hope is much better than despair. [Oh....how cute. Takumi can't help but grin.] What a nice cat.

[And, the grin falters.] Six months???
