Yawn... but I have to post at least ONE pic!
The flickr upload may even be done by the time you see this, but I'm not going to wait around for it. But I did want to post at least ONE picture of the cake.
I'm really happy with this one. 1cricketsong requested an "Asian themed cake", but let me go with it after that. And go with it I did! There are three types of icing involved (buttercream, royal, and fondant), as well as chocolate clay. EVERYTHING you see is edible. The bamboo is made of fondant.
There will be a full-on set of pics tomorrow (probably tomorrow), with how the whole thing was made, etc. etc. Including how I completely destroyed the bridge - TWICE. But for now - sleep! I was up WAY too late working on the cake, and way too early finishing it! It was great fun though - I really like this one :)
And because you deserve a cute photo, without having to click ... This is why Aidon couldn't sit down at his desk this morning.
