When i was a kid we had about 20 chickens. (And one rooster.)We had a raccoon attack the chicken-house.
Before that, they went in on their own each night, and we just had to come and shut the door. After that, they all decided to roost in a large tree in our front yard!Very funny to watch, as they could not really fly, and had to hop from branch to branch, giving each other advice and threats as they went. They were fine up there, as it turned out.
I miss chickens.
