haha.
so, what did i do today?
i started off the day with a bang! (literally.) my darling sister,
cheezisgoodfood, kicked her glass of crystal light all over our bedroom floor. i sat up in my stupor and was really confused why the floor was covered in reddish water-y stuff. an awesome start to the day.
(actually, she might be mad at me, but it *is* a little bit funny. she kicked a glass in her sleep! HAHA. sorry, kiddo. but it can be funny now that everything hasn't stained, right?)
then, we got up, got dressed, got donuts/bagels, and drove to lynwood for
sugar_spark's wedding shower!
on the way there, we finished up "aida" and then we put on "phantom of the opera." which led to much pantomimed opera singing, scaring old women next to us, and a good chorus of "playing" the phantom's theme. yes, complete with hand gestures.
my car, however, is a death trap. rosie decided to not allow me to roll down my windows sometime last week. so, we were driving in ninety degree weather for an hour and thirty/forty (traffic, boo!) drive with no air conditioning. it was awesome.
(this whole entry sounds like complaining, but i am actually smiling while writing this! i swear. it's been a good day!)
so, we got to the shower and got to hang out with the fabulous
mauriposa and
cochise_. we played shower games, and i am very pleased to say that our sorority team won the toilet paper bride dress modeling competition. i hope to god someone has a good picture of our creation. it was seriously made of win.
we sang "happy birthday" to kat. because it's her birthday. (duh.)
then presents, and a pretty awful ride home. (the heat was worse, and someone's car had stalled on the road sending us into a two-lane down to one merge which sucked. and i seriously thought my car was either going to stall or over-heat or both. but she didn't!)
so, we stopped in lagrange on the way home to eat at noodles & company. and i insisted on a border's stop so i could get more jelly belly orange crush jelly beans. but they were out. so i bought pocky and two books instead. (i know. trade-off, eh?)
and then i have spent the evening puttering around on the interwebs, getting involved in some book blogging drama, and staying inside to avoid the heat. i am waiting for
cheezisgoodfood to get home so we can go to the jewels.
our parents are out of town until wednesday and we are pretty much without food. we've eaten out for the past four meals now. we are lame. it kind of rocks.
tomorrow, i go downtown to see "spring awakening" with my wife. (!!!!) i am all kinds of mad excited.
(and look, a full entry without talking about work!)
