kool-aid mustache and butterfly wings
happy new year, everyone!
i should have a ton of stuff to report. christmas was lovely. got a lot of really nice things from my parents, and i'm thrilled to report that my mother listened to me when i told her that all i wanted was books, cds, and dvds. normally she insists on getting me clothes i don't need, etc.
so bookwise, i got the twop book, "mistral's kiss," and "strange candy." dvd-wise, i finally got the fourth harry potter movie, "into the woods," "guys and dolls," and the "the little mermaid." i only got one cd -- the new evanescence. but at the work grab-bag, i got sarah mclachlan's "wintersong."
my family also got me two library t-shirts (my mom got the one that says "where is the library?" in different languages and my aunt got the one that says "librarian: the original search engine" in the google font.) i also got a librarian keychain, a book charm, and a librarian pin.
new year's eve ROCKED my socks off. shots roulette is my new favorite game. my wife is forever the awesome. i played a wii! i need to get one. pictures to come!
and then, because i was so close on getting my credit card reward gift certificate, i promptly bought a new boxed-set of "his dark materials," "lady and the tramp" on dvd because the evil disney is putting it back in the vault. and then i made the mistake of going to the bc/efa site. i bought my mug, my travel mug, "carols for a cure" and a guide put out by theatremania.com on which cast recordings you should buy.
today, i woke up at 5:38 in the pm. i rock. i then watched the marathon of "antm" on vh1. and afterwards, i did my own "roswell" marathon on my dvd player.
embodiment is going really well! i'm thoroughly enjoying it and i may post pictures of my pretty, pretty journals later on this week. but that depends.
tomorrow i have to work, thursday i'm going to try and work on "veiled lives" - my nanowrimo'06 novel, and friday is a marathon of all three versions of rodgers and hammerstein's cinderellas at celeste's house.
okay. so, upstairs to bed for five hours and then work! blah!
