life update.
so, um, i guess life has gotten better since my last update.
my dad and i are cool. it happened on saturday. i finally caved after mom said she wanted a happy house again. so i asked him to watch a movie with us. and he did.
work is still amazingly awful. i've worked the past few days until 6:30pm because we're working a half-day on saturday and then going wedding-jewelry-supply-shopping. they say it should be over hopefully before july and if not, they will give me the time off needed for the wedding. and if they don't, two weeks notice, baby.
as of right now, i am not getting my car. my mom didn't get full-time, but we're trying to work something out where we share car payments so that i still have a vehicle. and i really fell in love with that car too.
MY PARTY DATE HAS CHANGED! (sorry!) my cousin decided that's the date of her wedding shower and obviously i don't want to mess with a wedding date for my family. i don't know the new date yet. we're looking into the sunday august 13th (the day after the original party) and if not, god only knows.
first bridesmaid dress fitting was monday. next fitting is june 27th.
i have an interview tomorrow for a reading tutor position at one of the elementary schools in the district. wish me luck.
and now, behind the cut tag,
saturday -- we went to my cousin miguel's first birthday party in plano. the baby is super cute and i got to have him on my lap for a good half hour, tickling him and holding him upside down. he's a big sweetheart. my cousin stephanie was yelling at me to get a myspace and i laughed. her wedding is coming along (yeah, she's the party date stealer) and we actually had a nice conversation with her. she sent laura an email about forgetting all the family shit and just being like we used to. we'll see. that's a lot of shit to forgive on this end. my godparents remembered my name (woot!), but i still just can't forgive so easily. my cousin janae was busy hosting the party, but she did take time out to give us a tour of the house and that was super nice.
sunday -- went to jessica's shower and got my second dose of cuteness from her two little cousins. it was a really fun time chilling with y'all and being all snazzy looking. see kat's entry for further details if you want.
and that was my weekend.
