tinyangl’s fic wish list! Prompt was: JE - Ryo/Shige/Yamapi. I may have just watched Mirai Theater and Shige may have said that he'd like to go out drinking with Ryo/Yamapi again. We should give that to him. :DDDDDD I’ve missed writing these three so this was fun! :3 Hope you enjoy it, Kami!! ♥
Shige slips around tables and chairs and heads for the corner booth where he sees Yamapi waving him over. He grins as he joins them, sliding into the booth next to Ryo who gives him a familiar, unimpressed look.
“You’re the one who arranged this whole thing and you’re late?” he says, annoyance laced in every word. “A simple message telling us so would’ve been nice.”
Shige just beams at him. “It’s great to see you too, Nishikido-kun.”
Ryo scowls and looks away quickly and Shige laughs, turns to Yamapi. “You too, Yamashita-kun,” he says. “I’m glad you guys could make it.”
“We’re glad you invited us!” Yamapi says. “Yes, even Ryo, who will deny it until the end of the earth and back.”
“Damn right,” Ryo grumbles, reaching for his half-empty glass of scotch and downing the rest. “And for fucks sake, can we not with the whole sappiness?” He twirls the small cubes of ice around in his glass as he sets it back down on the table. “It’s not like we haven’t all been in contact, you know.”
“But it is the first time we’ve managed to meet up again,” Yamapi points out.
“Besides, after we get some more drinks in you, I’m sure you’ll be the sappiest of us all,” Shige teases.
“Fuck you,” Ryo snipes. “You are the hysterical drunk, not me.”
“It’s been awhile,” Shige insists. “Maybe I’ve changed since the last time we went out.”
Ryo snorts. “Yeah, so you changed from being a crybaby drunk to the kind who, what? Starts to strip out of his clothes regardless of where he is?”
He snickers at the expression on Shige’s face while Yamapi smirks, and gives Shige an appraising once-over.
“I would be okay with that,” he says around his glass and Shige turns red.
“I hate you guys,” he grumbles, finally shrugging out of his coat and pausing to request another round of drinks for the table when a waiter passes by. “I’m glad you two left the group.”
Yamapi laughs while Ryo turns a bit, leans back against the wall at the end of the booth and lights up a cigarette.
“Yeah, that’s why you invited us out, tonight,” he points out, tosses the lighter across the table back to Yamapi. “You miss us.”
“You miss us,” Yamapi echoes brightly.
It’s true, but Shige will never admit it aloud. Instead he just throws his jacket into Ryo’s face and says, “As if.”

“I’ll pay you 1000 yen if you go over and get her number,” Ryo says, pointing towards a pretty girl sitting with a few other friends at the bar and nursing a tall, fruity drink. Or, well, he’s trying to point at her, but Ryo’s pretty drunk already and his finger wobbles toward a clock on the wall behind the bar instead.
“Go get it yourself if you want it that badly,” Shige retorts.
“Less fun that way,” Ryo says. “We all know she’d give it to me.”
Yamapi rolls his eyes. “Or she’d turn you away once she realizes she’s taller than you.”
Ryo just gives Yamapi the finger in silent response, then nudges Shige’s shin with his shoe. “Go,” he says in a commanding voice.
Shige glares at him. “What’s in it for you?”
“Entertainment, my friend,” Ryo answers, pats Shige on the shoulder a little harder than necessary.
Shige looks at the group of girls, then at Yamapi, who just shrugs at him like he doesn’t care either way but the brightness in his eyes gives him away, and back to Ryo, who is grinning shark-like, expectant. Shige could think of all the reasons not to give into this but he’s also quite drunk now, having been there for about two hours already, and, thinking about it, this is the tamest dare Ryo’s ever given him.
He downs the rest of his drink and slams the glass onto the table as he stands, ignoring Yamapi’s drunken whistle and catcall as he makes his way over to the group. He can feel Ryo and Yamapi watching as he talks to the girls for a few seconds and then returns to the booth, pretends to look dejected as he slides back in beside Ryo.
Gleeful, Ryo demands, “So?”
Shige sighs, draws it out, and Ryo looks even more ecstatic and starts to hold out a hand for his winning prize. Then Shige laughs, and sets his phone down on the table triumphantly. “Got it,” he says, leaning back and appreciating the way Ryo’s face falls. Yamapi laughs as well and looks impressed when Shige adds, “All of them.”
“No way,” Ryo exclaims, snatching his phone to look. He looks up at Shige in disbelief, and then over to the group of girls who are laughing and waving in their direction. Shige waves back and they all smile, turn away to whisper to each other, and Shige smirks, feeling pretty good.
“Wow, Shige,” Yamapi comments, then reaches over to pat Ryo’s shoulder. “Nice try, Ryo-chan.”
“What the fuck,” Ryo says like he still can’t believe what just happened.
Shige grins, takes his phone back from Ryo, and says, “So, I’m guessing you’re gonna buy us the next round, huh?” He takes Ryo’s scowling, unhappy face as his answer.
-
“In a car?” Ryo says, staring at Yamapi who nods. “That’s nothing! I’d have thought you’d be more adventurous, Pi.”
“Are we seriously having this conversation?” Shige questions, but he’s laughing and he’s drunk and it definitely isn’t the first time they’ve talked about this, though it feels like it. Probably because it’s been so long since the last time.
“Don’t be a prude, Shige,” Ryo says, the drunkest of them all. He’s utilizing Shige’s shoulder as a pillow and Shige can feel his breath against his neck whenever he talks.
“Yeah, Shige,” Yamapi chimes in, and his words are starting to slur together. “Where’s the kinkiest place you’ve done it?”
Normally Shige would be embarrassed, but right now he just titles his head back and looks up in contemplation. “Ah,” he says when he’s remembered, smirking across the table at Yamapi. “An elevator.”
His answer has Ryo sitting up straight to peer at him, as if to judge whether Shige’s telling the truth, but Shige doesn’t think Ryo can tell much of anything at this point, simply squinting in his face a little too close. Shige shoves him back and answers Ryo’s silent question, “Yes, Ryo. An elevator. And I’m not lying.”
“Hmm,” Ryo says, still a little disbelieving. “That’s better than I expected. From you, anyway.” Now he looks strangely proud, a wide grin snaking across his face. “Definitely better than Pi’s, at any rate.”
“Hey,” Yamapi protests. “I’m sure I’ve had more, but fuck if I can remember any of it right now.”
“What about you, Ryo?” Shige demands, and Ryo looks delighted that someone asked.
“Johnny’s office,” he answers without hesitation, and smirks around his cigarette as he returns it to his lips.
Shige makes a face while Yamapi looks amazed. “That’s brilliant,” he exclaims just as Shige says, “That’s gross. Why would you even want to?!”
“How did you even get in?” Yamapi questions, then, after a pause. “Who were you with?!”
Ryo smiles mysteriously. “I’ll never tell.”
Shige rolls his eyes. “You’re totally making that up,” he accuses.
“Would I?!” Ryo demands.
“Yes,” both Shige and Yamapi reply and Ryo glares at them.
-
“If I drink anymore I’m going to puke,” Shige complains. They’re finally leaving what might be their third - fourth? Shige lost count awhile ago - bar, after a couple of hours of drinking and more drinking, interspersed with ridiculous drunken conversations.
“Lightweight,” Ryo says affectionately and Yamapi snorts.
“Says the one who nearly passed out twice during the night, and just tried to make out with a lamppost not two minutes ago,” Yamapi says in amusement and Ryo shoves at him without any real strength behind it.
“Shut up,” he grumbles. “I’m tired.”
“You’re always tired. Why you even come out at night is beyond me,” Shige says.
“You invited me,” Ryo replies like that’s all that matters and Shige will never admit to hoping that it really does. “Besides, have to release the stress somehow.”
“That’s what sex is for,” Yamapi says.
“Yeah, too bad I’m not getting any of that tonight,” Ryo laments, and groans when Yamapi laughs, throws an arm around his shoulders and says suggestively, “I don’t know, Ryo-chan. Maybe you’ll get lucky.” He winks at him and Ryo chuckles, shoves him away again.
“Leave me out of that,” Shige inputs, but then realizes not saying anything at all would’ve been a better answer, because now both Ryo and Yamapi are crowding him with arms over his shoulders and around his waist.
“Awww, Shige,” Ryo says, “we could show you a good time.”
“Yeah, it’ll be fun!” Yamapi insists.
Shige just shakes his head and muses aloud, “Why do I even bother with you two?” But even as he says it a smile tugs at his lips and Ryo and Yamapi’s drunken laughter rings in his ears.
-
Shige feels like his brain is pushing against his skull from the inside, so hard that it’s threatening to burst right open. He groans, rolls onto his side, except doesn’t make it far enough, coming into contact with another grumbling person who pushes back.
“Get off me,” Ryo’s groggy voice reaches his ears and Shige turns the other way, only to be met by what he can only assume is Yamapi’s warm body.
Yamapi doesn’t seem as bothered as Ryo to have Shige curl up against him. He just mumbles something unintelligible and snuggles up onto himself and Shige wonders why he’s not awake with a colossal hangover like him.
“Shige,” Ryo mutters. “Get your fat head off my arm.”
Shige can barely lift his head at all and moving seems like it’ll result in the apocalypse, but he manages to get away enough for Ryo to yank his arm out from under him.
“Fuck,” Ryo bitches. “I feel like someone ran me over eighty times.”
“Only eighty?” Shige questions, rubs at his temples.
Yamapi seems to laugh himself awake at that, and he smiles over at Shige.
“How can you look so alive right now,” Shige demands weakly.
“It’s his stupid pretty face,” Ryo inputs. “It has magical powers.”
Shige rolls his eyes, though he can’t deny maybe Ryo is onto something, there. “You, too, though,” he says, pokes at Ryo’s hip. “You never look like you’re hungover.”
“That’s only after he gets about ten cups of coffee in him,” Yamapi explains and Ryo grunts in agreement as he pokes Shige back. Yamapi stretches his arms over his head and sighs contentedly like he woke up from a much needed nap instead of after a night of drinking. He glances over at both Ryo and Shige who are half-heartedly attacking each other and snickers. “Guess we really did all end up sleeping together,” he says when Ryo looks up at him questioningly.
Ryo snorts. “Not quite the way I was hoping,” he says.
“Maybe next time,” Yamapi offers, grinning, and Shige shoves them both out of bed and grumbles, “I’m never drinking with you guys again.”
