(no subject)
Sunday - Joe
and i went to the firepeoples picnic thing in oyster bay. i watched
sailboats, collected shells and played on the swing. twaz interesting.
than we went back to his house and watched americas funniest home
videos cuz his downstairs tv gets like 7 channles so we didn't have
much of a choice... but i like AFV anyway so it doesn't matter.. i
liked the sailboats. i love sailboats, they're so pretty.
Monday - Sarah and i went kayaking later at night which was exciting. we left the kayak all the way down the beach than swam back to my club. but we had to walk back to get the kayak then row back to the club so we could put it away. but thats ok we had fun. we collected hermit crabs and swam at low tide. (the swimming part was kinda gross cuz low tide isn't very fun but thats ok.
Tuesday - Katie and I went to the ocean. the waves were really good for boogie boarding, they were of a decent hieght. katie doesn't actually ride the waves in though, she "wafts." (as she calls it) meaning she goes out past where the waves break, then let the waves bring her in a little, then the rip-tide pull her out again, then the waves bring her in and it kinda goes back and forth like that. i tried wafting and its very relaxing. my sister and her friend went "wafting" too but a giant wave came and they aren't big enough to handle it and weren't far enough out past where they break so the got smoshed by it. we had fun. much love to the ocean.
Today - went to the g-parents house. i got a slurpie... my mom and i helped them use their comp. to make my great aunt and uncle a card for their 50th anniversary. their house isn't too exciting. but i did watch boy meets world and my grandma made me really good pasta. and the best news of the day, Erica called!! i miss her since shes in camp, but we might go visit her the weekend after the one coming up. we would have considered this weekend but shes in california right now cuz the camp takes them on trips, and this ones across the country. she said on monday they went to alcatraz and today they went to stanford (which apparantly has its own zipcode cuz its so big) i was very happy erica called though. i miss her, summers lame w/out her here... lol
