I don't even know what to say about it, besides it was A-MAZ-ING! Amazing amazing amazing. <3333 It was a GREAT experience, and I am so glad I did it with my Momma and my sisters- there was no one else I would have gone with. So Jordan/David/Demi sounded great. I was like "gahhh, what's with all these young-ins and all their crazy good talent???" It blows my mind.
So this is how the night went...
A.) my Dad dropped us off at the Sommet Center, he also picked us up. He said he didn't want us there alone at night after the concert ended. Which was sweet. :)
B.) We walked in and started to get all jittery. We had to go to the "reserved tickets" because that's where ours were at. My mom said who she was, showed her ID, said we won in a contest. Then the man hands my Mom the tickets in an envelope. This is where we started to REALLY freak out! My sisters were trying to look at what the tickets were when my Mom was opening the envelope. My Mom was like "Everyone back away, otherwise we are going home." That made me laugh, and walking my sisters keep walking and walking and walking backwards was also hilarous.
So, then my Mom opens it up, pulls out the tickets and her face drops. We are all looking at each other wondering what that could mean. She goes "Wow. These are really great seats!" Then of course we all rush over and we find out we are on the lower level, just off to the right of the stage.
C.) Then we went to the merch area, where I got my BLACK DEMI LOVATO TOUR SHIRT!!! WOOO HOOO!!! And Courtney got a keychain.
D.) After we got our stuff, we noticed there was all this stuff set up.AND IT WAS ALL FREE. We got in line for the "Take your picture with Demi Lovato." It was cute. You got to pick from 3 backgrounds, and you should in front of a green screen. Also, there were microphones you could use in your picture. So we all squeezed together, and took the picture. The guy handed us an acess code, and said 'You can get the picture within 24-48 hours online.' We have it- and it's realstic at ALL. Which I knew it wouldn't. But I still loooooooove it like the dork I am. Also, they had a cardboard cutout of her. My sisters and I stood by her while my Mom took the picture.
Another cool thing they had was a raffle (for people 13 and older) to win either a signed Demi shirt or the LG Xenon Phone. My Mom entered and so did I. Then after you did that, they had these "goodie bags" things. Inside it had a cell phone charm in the shape of a guitar pick that has Demi's face on it. And also a magent, that is 2 parts. There is a white border and it says "Demi Lovato Summer Tour 2009" And the center part has her with the LJ phone. It's pretty cool. :) And they kept giving us those keychains so I got to give one to Ariel, Delaney, Scarlett, and Paige. And my sisters also got enough for their friends.
E.) Seat time!! We went to go sit down since there was about 15 mintues until show time! We show our tickets to the sercuity guard, and he tells us where our seats our. We sit down and it is SO close!! My sisters, Mom, and I took some pictures together waiting for it to start.
Also, a cool thing the did through-out the whole concert: during the breaks (before show, the time between Archie and Demi, and afterwords) they played Disney music!
NEXT COMES: CONCERT TIME!!!
F.) My mom and I saw that Jordan had some merch when I was getting my shirt, so we figured she was going to be performing also. I was very exicited to see her walk on stage! She performed 4 songs, three which were "Jump to the Rhythm, Outside Looking In, One Love". She looked flaw-less and was just as good live as she was on her CD.
sidenote:// My mom was taking a picture of us three, and then the lights go down right after she snaps it, and we screamed so hard!!
G.) DAVID!!! :) Haha. There were so many screaming fan-girls for him. And I mean, how can you not love him... he's adorable! Anyways, his enterence was REALLY cool. They had this huge cloth screen thing hanging from the top of the ceiling and then his image shows up HUGE on it. *cue fangirls screaming* And then his music is starting to play, and then the curtain falls, and he starts to sing! It was really cute. And he was really adorable. He had allegeries, and apoligized for drinking so much water because he had them. He was just as cute there as he was watching him on American Idol. He of course, was amazing. And also, I got to hear some songs I haven't heard by him. And I really liked them. Courtney took a zillion pictures of him, because she LOVES him. She cried when he didn't win American Idol. Also, when it's more of the up-beat songs. He would hold unto the microphone and do this slight jumpy-thing. And when he wasn't holding it he would kinda bounce during the faster songs as well. It was really fun to watch.
H.) Then it was the 20 minute intermission, which I promise you was a lot lot longer. But I did enjoy listening to the Disney music they played. If that wasn't there, it would have been much much longer.
I.) THEN DEMI LOVATO!!!!!!!! The lights dimmed, and I screamed my head off. My mom had the camera, and actually recorded the opening song "La La Land". As soon as I saw her rise up, I started to cry. I knew I would. I was getting so exicited and it was just emotional to me because I love her so much, and I was seeing her... not on TV, not in a magazine, not from my Zune, but IN PERSON. Also, it was just such a blessing to be there. I was able to stop myself after like 40-60 seconds. And I wiped my tears away quickly. :) UGH, can I just say anyone who says that Ms. Demi Lovato can't sing is either stupid, deaf, or mentally changelled. She blew me AWAY with how AMAZINGLY PERFECT she sounded. And this is after being on tour, allllll summer long, and having a show nearly every night! She played some of my favorite songs "Remember December", "Everytime You Lie", "Solo", "Catch Me" (which I nearly cried again, but I controlled myself), and "Trainwreck." And I got to hear her do, "Stop the World" so I got to hear my 'like Bonnie and Clyde, let's find a ride, and ditch this town' line which I just LOVE. And also, can I please say she is SO pretty in person too!! She was like glowing on stage, and her facial expressions made me smile. HAIR FLIPPING, ftw. You could just tell she was having so much fun, she was doing what she loved, and was in her element. Another amazing thing she did, was when she got down on her knees, and from there went laid down on the stage! Just great. During "This is Me" she brought up a little boy.
She was like: "Prepare yourself. When this little boy gets on stage, you guys are all going to 'aw'."
He gets on stage and the crowd goes: "awwww."
Then she goes "What's your name?" He says very shyly "Caden." Everyone "Awwws" again.
Then Demi says "Okay, so first we aren't going to do the song I am going to take you home with me. *laughs* I'm just kidding." Then she says "How old are you Caden?" and he says "Four." The crowd "awwws" again. She goes "Do you know what Caden? The first time I sang on-stage I was four. Do you want to sing with me Caden?" He just very slightly shakes his head "no." (He looked kind of shy/nervous) And the crowd laughs really hard and Demi does slightly. She says "Okay, well if you don't want to sing what if, you hold my hand, and I'll sing with you?....Do you think you could do that?" So it ends up, she is singing the whole time, and when they get to the duet-part Demi is slightly laughing because she's the only one singing. And then after it ends everyone of course, screams. And the Demi says "So how awesome did Caden do?" Crowd cheers. Then she says "His voice is like, a mix between Fergie and Jesus." IT WAS HILAROUS! Also, her interaction between her and her band was just great.
Another funny thing that happened was this:
She sang us the wrong words to "Don't Forget" when we sing back to her -- she sang "somewhere we went wrong, our love is like a song" so we continued with that lyric and started singing "but you won't sing along, you've forgotten--" but she stopped us and was like "Okay, I totally just killed the moment. I totally sang the wrong line to you and you sang the wrong one. Sorry." And she was laughing, but then she was like "Let's try that again." and she started us again with the right lyric, and we were fine
Something else:
So, Demi changed the lyrics in "Everytime You Lie" during one chorus to "cause I'm not going to listen" to "cause I don't really care!" And it was AMAZING. It got me so fired up, and I screamed my little butt off when she changed it!
Also, I LOVE HER SO MUCH FOR NEARLY CRYING IN TWO DIFFERENT SONGS.
During "Don't Forget" she was all tear-eyed and you could tell how her voice sounded when she was singing she was almost in tears. Also during another one, but I can't remember which one it was. :( But they were both really really sweet.
So I had a GREAT, AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, INSANELY GOOD, LIFE-REMEBER-MOMENT, OF MY LIFE.
:)P.S.
I'll post the pictures on the next update. I figured this one was long enough for ya. ;)
