It was 2:30 in the morning when Temperance Brennan returned to her apartment. She had just dropped Booth off at his place after a night of drinking (for Booth and the rest of the squints) and was already regretting the fact that she decided to go home and not stay at Booth's. She reasoned that she needed to be up early if she wanted to get at least a little bit of sleep, she had to go home. As she set her keys on the table, she noticed the flashing light on her answering machine. She smiled as she immediately recognized the voice echoing through.
"Bones, hi it's me. Booth. Of course it's me, Booth. Who else calls you Bones? Nobody I hope. You know why? Because you're my Bones. Yep, I said it. Mine. I don't know why I called your house instead of your cell, but you just dropped me off and I already miss you. You should come back to me. I know why I called you though. I'm glad we told everybody that we're having a baby Bones. Baby Bones! A baby bones, sometimes I can't believe it. You're having my baby! Hey! That's a song. I should sing it to you! You're having my baby, what a lovely way of saying how much you love me! You probably don't know that song, but it makes sense right now because you're having my baby. Gosh Bones, I really miss you ri-"
The machine cut off before Bones could hear the rest of the message. She shook her head, but smiled at the thought of having Booth's baby. She heard her cell ringing in the purse and her smile only grew at the name on the screen.
"Hello?"
"Yes Booth, I heard your message."
"Yes I appreciated the song."
"Yes, I'm coming over right now"
"Yes, I love you too"
