Ghost teens

So, my sim had babies with a ghost, and they ended up being ghost babies. However, when the ghost sim aged up to a teen, she wasn't automatically enrolled. Her twin sister, who wasn't a ghost was automatically enrolled and went to high school the new morning, but I had to make the ghost sim go to high school and enroll. When she got there, it popped up like it does when you get a job.

Does anyone find this odd? Is this is what is supposed to happen?
