When the game is loading, there is no problem and quite quick but when i start actually playing sims 3 freezes a few times roughly every 10 - 20 seconds and the whole computer freezes (such as, num lock light on my keyboard freezes) so i turn off the pc by the plug then turn it back on. From when i had it in june 2009 to about early/mid 2010 it worked perfectly even with custom content & 20 saved games on it.
My Spec is
Acer Aspire X3200
Athlon duel core processor 4050e 2.1 GHz 32-bit operating system
2GB Ram
Vista Home Premium (recently upgraded to service pack 2, it was still crashing on sp1)
320GB hard drive
Nvidia GeForce 8200 (i noticed this wasn't on the system requirements & this is probably the only bit with pc's that i just don't have a clue about)
(Recently, i uninstalled sims 3 and installed sims 2 but it was doing something similar to sims 2 as well)
I have no custom content, no stuff/expansion packs, no updated patches, nothing just very basic
I brought this computer back in April 2009 after my very old pc died on me because of sims 2. I kinda paniced, so i brought the only one i could afford at the time. I really don't want this to happen again.
Please help, i'd very grateful for any help at all.
