can't contact my foreign boyfriend?
My sim met a nice boy in France. They got up to the "romantic interest" level, and I got the little message saying he thought my sim was being "irresistable". So, I decided to go ahead and propose going steady. He accepted, and then my sim had to head home.
Pretty shortly after getting home I clicked the phone and selected "Chat Long Distance". All of my sim's foreign acquaintances appeared, but not her boyfriend. When I selected "Invite Foreign Visitor", I got a message saying my sim doesn't know any foreigners well enough to invite them over! Her boyfriend still appears in her relationship panel as her boyfriend.
What's going on? Can I not invite him because they're going steady? I'd really like to move him in/have her marry him, is there any way I can do that? I've just heard so many things about marrying foreigners I'd like to know if anybody here has done it and how they got it to work.
My game's patched up to 2.28 (though I'm probably going to bite the bullet and patch it to 2.3 pretty soon). I have Awesomemod, NRaas' story mod, and various other tuning mods, if that's relevant.
