I have no idea what's going on or how to fix it. One of my sims was electrocuted and died while trying to fix the television. His mother tried to bargain with the grim reaper by playing chess for his life. They played for awhile but nothing happened. Now the Grim Reaper and my character who died have just been standing in the same position for weeks just stinking up the house (you can see his smell coming off him). The character remains in my 'control', as in he still has a box on the left hand side where you switch between the various sims you control, however I can't actually control him at all. His wife left him for another man and now that other man considers him an enemy when he is around him and everyone's mood drops when they walk past him because he is so dirty. I can only 'mourn', 'read epitaph' or 'engrave epitaph' so I can't pick up the grave (although you can see the box sitting on the floor. Does anyone know how to get this ghost and grim reaper to just go already?
At the same time, someone has been calling to tell me Damien Evilston doesn't have many days left and that I should visit him while I can. The thing is, Damien Evilston was a character I created and has long since died. Why is this happening?
