I've been mulling over this for some time and feel it needs to be said:
People don't cease to mean something to me. I value anyone who has ever been my friend; their worth will not depreciate over time. I will always be there for anyone who has been kind to me.
I would not be embarrassed to introduce anyone from my past to people at school. If I were, that would say far more negative things about myself than anyone else. I have no "list" of people to whom I deem it acceptable to speak.
I am happy enough with myself that I don't need to bolster my self esteem with elitism, and I am truly sorry that some people feel that such a mindset is necessary. I hope karma never finds them.
