I am mildly concerned that I am going to look like a messy slut on local television this evening.
That is sorta one heck of an opening sentence, so allow me to to explain. I was getting out of my totally awesome Daily Show/Colbert Report & Media Criticism class today, when this man approached us as were leaving the classroom. He wanted to know if any of us were willing to comment on the upcoming New Hampshire primaries for the local news station. My friend (and new dorm neighbor ever since I got back and Mary and I moved down the hall) Amelia happens to be from New Hampshire - and said as much - and then got nervous once the news man instantly pounced on her, all, "You're perfect!" So, I went with her, to kinda calm her down, but they wound up interviewing me as well.
It was pretty cool. They asked our opinion on the results in Iowa, and what we were predicting as far New Hampshire went, along with the typical questions regarding our "youth vote". Are our peers excited about this election, is there an "energy" about the election on campus. The usual stuff.
The only problem I could think of currently is the fact that I look like a hot mess today, on a couple of levels. I'm thinking my cleavage-y shirt might just shoot me to local news whoredom. Which is a pity.
