Into the River Below

The election is over.

There was no recount, no replay of 2000. Thank god.

The concession speech was great. The acceptance speech was great, and I hope President Bush, see I'm admitting he's the president, can do what he wants and bring the country back together.

The unity that we had after 9-11 was fantastic and I hope that, somehow, we can recapture that without a tragedy.

I won't pretend that it doesn't hurt though. I am honestly not being dramatic or exaggerating when I say it feels like I went to a funeral today. It's like one my best friends just moved to China. And if you haven't poured yourself into a campaign, you don't know what that's like, which is fine, but don't brush it off like it's nothing either. Imagine training for the olympics and losing your one event. It hurts, plain and simple. But we'll get over it and move on.

I really think Deany boy should run in '08, but I'm almost positive he won't. I think Dean is too real for the campaign trail.

I'm moving through the stages of grief pretty quickly. I'm all ready beginning to move on from the depression-hand-me-a-gun-stage.

though, the whole college I don't have any money and it's already november and I haven't finished applying thing doesn't help. Mandy's Chris didn't apply to central though until last minute I think, and he got in...

On a sort of related note, if Bush has the opportunity to choose new justices, he'll make a big mistake if he chooses hard-right justices. Down the center is the way to go with the supreme court.

One day... one day we'll all unite and there won't be a civil war. Noo civil war.

And when I register after I'm 18, I'm almost positive I'm registering Independent.

...Or I'll move to Ireland, my homeland, and live with Colin Farrell.

*shrug* lol.
