I just got through watching Nova (a show on PBS), which usually seems to drag on way too long. The episode today, however, was really interesting. There was one part in it I especially liked that talked about these frogs that literally freeze themselves in the winter and thaw in the spring. Nova rules! I used to watch that all the time as a young un. I haven't seen it in awhile though.

I've been wanting to try Kristal Burger. White Castle....I'm so hungry.

The only thing I don't really like about Nova, is that sometimes I don't really feel like they actually present all the viewpoints on a certain topic. Like in the string theory series (they had three of them), I felt like they didn't explain it right or were using it the wrong way, or something. It's mostly just a feeling I get, so it's hard to describe, but I've gotten it during a few other Novas as well.

It's totally worth it.. I let mine sit in the steamy bag for about 30 minutes, so I assumed they would have been soggy by the time I got around to eating them, but they were surprisingly good. Better even than I expected them to be if they were fresh.

oh yeah, I don't know if you're interested, but Edward Norton is supposed to be hosting some new series on PBS called Strange Days on Planet Earth. I think it starts today, actually. It kind of seems like it might be a little over-simplified, but I still think I'm going to check it out, at least for Norton's part of it.

PBS has some cool stuff when I'm aware enough to watch it, but I haven't seen Nova in forever. I like Antiques Roadshow though (how sad.)

I always thought McGeary was pretty hot, as much as one man can think so about another man. Getting Zureich (sp?) mixed up with him was pretty embarrassing though. o.o

It's too bad you never had him as a teacher; he's such a cool guy. I'm really going to miss him next year..
