an open letter to spring
dear spring,
hello old friend, it's me brandon.....i know that it's been quite a while since we last saw each other (in fact....almost a year). i have so many stories to tell you....but more importantly spring i think we need to talk.
i'm having a problem with you procrastinating on your arrival....for goodness sakes my friend, we need you now.....no doubt that bully winter is pressuring you to stay away...but don't listen to him buddy.....did you see the weather today??? it was cloudy, then it rained...then came sleet....then snow!!! snow in april! spring....clearly there is a problem there.
not only that sir, but for the short period of time that you were actually able to poke your sunny spring head out of the clouds (a pitiful few hours) you saw it fit to not let the sun actually warm things up...it stayed cold....and then after the sun went away winter went and muscled back in....bringing more snow with it.
spring...i'm beginning to get a little frusturated with all of this....i don't want our relationship to suffer (you're still my favorite of the seasons) but if this kind of behavior continues then you will force me to part ways with you....i'm sorry spring....but that's just the way things have to be
