Seriously?
Three things have happened to me this week that DO NOT ever happen in my life.
1. I may be a clumsy person sometimes, but I am NOT careless with my stuff- EVER. On Monday night, though, I was clearly not thinking when I brought my phone into the bathroom with me & washed my hands while I held it up with my shoulder. I never bring my phone into the bathroom. I always get scared I'll drop it. So guess what happens this time- it fell into the sink while the water was running. I cried. Not because my phone is really fancy, but because I don't have money for a new phone & because I know I'm usually much more careful with my stuff. I found out two days later that my phone insurance covers water damage, but I still have to pay a $50 deductible. It's okay because they're sending me an upgraded version of my phone, plus my original one was a free upgrade, so I basically paid $50 for two phones. BUT STILL, this kind of thing does not happen to me.
2. I had a midterm today, so I left my house earlier in order to buy a blue book before class. It took me forever to find parking, though, so I ended up getting out of the parking garage just five minutes before my class started. I rushed to the bookstore to buy my blue book, then I realized I forgot my wallet at home. SERIOUSLY?! I do NOT forget important things like my wallet. Sometimes I forget the little things, like a chapstick, but never my wallet! Thank God for the Akbayan table in front of the bookstore<3 I was able to borrow a dollar.
3. I forgot where I parked in the parking garage. I always remember where I park. I always remember where my mom parks or where Erik parks or where anyone else who drove parks. I do it unconsciously, too. I just happen to remember which direction we came from or how many flights of stairs we walked down, but today my memory failed me. I couldn't believe it. I actually had to circle the third floor before going up to the fourth & finding my car there. I was so sad.
I'm not the type of person who is careless or forgetful, but it all happened to me this week. I don't know what's going on, but it sucks.
