Late, I know.
So I figured that since Erik wasn't feeling too good I would end up nursing him on Valentine's Day. I was okay with that, at first, but then his sister & her boyfriend were getting all ready for their date & I was taking their pictures which made me jealous. I wanted to go out, too, but I was sucking it up & trying not to be a brat. I knew Erik got off at 6:30pm, but it was past 7:00 & he wasn't home yet so I was really worried. I called & he was fine & on the way. He came home with a rose, a heart-shaped balloon & a card. It was so sweet & exactly what I wanted. I don't want some big fancy gift on Valentines. I just want the typical little things. It's not like it's our anniversary, you know? I like the simplicity of Valentines. Anyway, so I was super excited & thanking him like crazy, then he said "Get ready, we're going out to eat." There was more?! I was so surprised! I thought that was it, but he kept going with "Then we're going to watch a movie. How about Twlight"? Seriously?! I was like OMGOSH, that's still out?! I'm so addicted to the books, but I never watched the movie. He knows how much I love them, so he told me he was pretty happy when he saw it was still playing. We ended up eating at some cute little restaurant called Paper Moon. The food was soooooooooo good! It was the perfect meal. The movie was okay. I knew that after reading the book the movie wasn't going to impress me, but I enjoyed watching it. The Cullens are way better looking in my head, though. Seriously. Haha.
Even if I spent most of Valentine's doing homework in Erik's room alone, he made up for it with our date. He's been really thoughtful lately & I can see him trying to be better. How he's been driving down more often to see me, his surprise visit, his thoughtful presents, just the way he's been acting. He's been more giving & that's all I was asking for.
Despite all my complaints, though, he really is the best boyfriend. No other guy has ever loved me or cared for me as much as he does. He deserves more credit than I give him.
