HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JASMINE, UYEN, and IAN! Yes, I am now a year older today, too.
Thanks you guys for the birthday wishes on Facebook, text msgs, and phone calls. And of course, especially the more personal birthday greetings by showing up on my doorstep.
So funny story on that part, I was watching "Disturbia" with Lewis the day before yesterday. The movie awesome, Shia Labeof has done wonders to his acting since "Even Stevens". If you guys know the plot, it's about a serial killer on the loose and all that. I wasn't as freaked out about the movie until this morning (midnight). My sister and I were getting ready for bed. Whoever goes to bed last has to check the windows and the doors in the house. It's always been a rule, so after the nightly routine, we were in bed. A few seconds after we turned the lights off, we heard this faint tapping noise on the window. I thought it was a joke my sister was playing on me, but it wasn't. My parents rushed to the door thinking someone was trying to break in (yeah from the front door I know...), but once they turned on the porch lights, they realized it was
these two bums that needed a place to stay. Just kidding. Anum and Jennifer came by to wish me a Happy Birthday and brought me cake and balloons. Thank you, girls. You are both really sweet and I love you dearly. The reason why I didn't post the picture we originally took last night was because we looked hideous and I thought this picture was a lot better. You know, Oreo cake isn't as sweet when you refrigerate it. Who knew?
Before sunrise, I saw the girls. Later in the day, I got to be with the boyfriend (aww he's camera shy sometimes, I tease, I tease).
A partial part of my birthday wish was that I'd get to see the people I'm closest to on my birthday. Enough said, I thought it wasn't going to happen because some had plans, others had work or school to tend to. Luckily, my wish came true after all :).
Lewis came with flowers (thank you, dear) and we went out to lunch and a movie. A date we'll call it. "No Reservations" is such a cute movie. Catherine Zeta Jones is hot. I think I have a thing with cooking movies, they're always fun to watch. We laughed, teared up, and yeah, fuzzy feelings all around. I loved it. After watching the movie, we walked out and realized we were the only "young" ones in the theater, everyone that went to watch the movie were elderly folk. That made us feel less old and by then I remembered I was no longer 18. Oh well.
Today was awesome. I enjoyed the day very much and I'm glad I spent it with the people I adore and love. Thanks again you guys! I'm still caffeinated.
