I think it is important that we do not lose sight of the past. When we idolize anyone and cast aside their errors, we are all worse off for it. The point of history is that we can learn from it. I don't care if you are liberal or conservative. The simple fact of the matter is not dealing with the past fairly is an injustice we will all have to pay the price for.
