Vintage Laundry & Kitchen
I love vintage, but love modern conveniences.
It was such a different world for woman in the past.
Notice both women are doing housework in dresses.
Photos from Shorpy Images- 1920 is the year on the kitchen...
...not sure about the year on the laundry photo.
Now when I look at my old laundry sinks I will see an imaginary woman toiling over it like this one- but she is smiling for the photo.
Obviously "laundry day" in my neighborhood circa 1911.
Fresh laundry hanging in the backyards. My backyard looking so young and unplanted with none of big old trees there yet. I can almost hear the quiet and smell fresh laundry in that photo.
