Crushed Velvet
I like surrounding myself with strange little found objects, vintage items, antiques, books, and art.
And I'll always have a clutter filled house.
But I realize I have a lot of unwanted clutter too.
Yesterday I dumped out a bunch of old trinkets and jewelry from a little velvet lined box that had been sitting up in my unfinished 3rd floor untouched for at least 10 years.
The most amazing impression was crushed into the red velvet.
These photos almost show the detail of what it looks like. You can see the face on the penny, and the links of the chain of the cross.
The crushed velvet impression was far more interesting than the actual stuff that was in the box.
