Single Awareness Day
ok, if you know me at all, you know that I love holidays. However, Valentines day does not count. In fact, it's my least favorite day. You might call me a cynic because I'm single but even when I was dating someone, the day still managed to be ruined.
Well, Random act Of Kindness...
I am working late tonight downtown and I'm the only one here. We have police officers that work here for us all night long and tonight is no exception. This guy starts hitting on me, the typical" what's a pretty girl like you doing still at work on Valentine's day?" spiel.I kinda brushed him off and went back to my work, well he came back over and over and kept talking to me. I called Justin and he said he would call and pretend to be my boyfriend if I needed him to. I was about to take him up on it the next time the guy came in but then he gave me something. He had gone to the wine store across the way on his rounds and picked up chocolate hearts for me. How cute is that? I felt like a schmuck and smiled and listened to him this time. He eventually left but how nice was that? He said I looked sad and every girl needed chocolates on Valentine's day. That was thoughtful of him. He seemed sincere, not creepy guy trying to get in my pants. I still hate this holiday but that's my highlight for today.
