she sits there smiling
says she's thinking about her friends
how she'll always love them
and how they'll be there in the end
which doesn't make sense because usually if
you step on something
it dies pretty quick
and she's walking all over rugs that are woven of love and respect
and advantage has been taken
she just doesn't realize, or maybe does now
that her friends deserve better
than she gives, but somehow
she thinks they still love her
and maybe she's right
or maybe she has yet to see the light.
