Yeah. She used to roadtrip thru the South with her grandpa, who'd buy okra at roadside stands and munch it while he drove. Kind of strange, and it might have been better with some salt, but ok.

Well, that depends on your definition of "coast". When we get really high tides, saltwater will back up in the creek within a mile of the house. There are two bays within 5-6 miles, and a third is barely 12. If it's open Gulf you're wanting, it's about 18 miles by the shortest path.

nooooooooooooo NEVER raw.......it's too itchy or fuzzy, it's too slimey when boiled but juuuuuuuuuust right fried......
