Best Buy staff have my laptop in custody, to pop its hood and try to make it stop shutting down before it has even fully completed its start-up procedures, and to get its media files playing without stuttering. (I realize but don't care how I warped that metaphor; I'll probably even repeat the offense. . . !) I also have limited opportunities to go on-line at work, so, my attempts to re-engage in reading and posting on LiveJournal have stalled again, alas. There isn't much happening anyway that would make for a remotely compelling entry in my journal, but I really wish I could keep up with
you folks better. I hope things are going well with all of you.
If anyone has the slightest interest in an on-line sneak preview of ABC's new comedy series Modern Family, you're welcome to follow
this link and use the password "4x8awgf9" by noon, Pacific time, on Thursday, September 10th. I got that information from a
futon critic e-mail that ends by saying, "And whatever you do, DO NOT forward this email to every single one of your friends. Seriously, don't do it. We mean it. :)" Clearly, this indicates that the series will be the height of amusement.
Edit: Contrarywise, I highly recommend viewing each of
these clips, and the film they promote, as soon as possible. It's a new favorite of mine.
