Disregarding all catch-up kinds of things I could be saying or asking here, I have a random question that I'm sure at least one of you will be able to answer (and I think I could even guess the person who'll be able to answer it the fastest). In which episode of Sports Night did Dana try, with supposed magical powers, to make Dan and Casey ( Read more... )

Imagine running into you here!

I was thinking about this show/fandom the other day, and, these pics made me realize how much I miss it, and these boys. Might be time for a renaissance!

It's always time for a renaissance! Or, if you happen to be trying to brainwash, um, introduce new people to the show, a naissance ... I suppose.

Hey you! I didn't realise we all three knew each other! Or that you were into SN.

A New York renaissance!

Of course you have a great SN icon!

simplelyric and I go way back - God, I'm not even sure how far back. She's even come to visit me twice! Stick with me, baby, and I'll take you to the Rockies! It's kind of like a New York renaissance, except with fresh air and few buildings. Lots of Japanese tourists, though!

SN was my first real fandom. I didn't write much, but I read everything. But then I got distracted by The OC and Oz, and was kind of a fandom slut for a while. And you know where I ended up!

Hah, I feel a bit of a fandom slut myself - I've dipped my toes in so many fandoms!

When I was a teenager, I wanted to go to the Rockies more than anywhere - it was all the fault of My Friend Flicka!

Have you been to the Rockies?

I couldn't read My Friend Flicka - I was so worried the horse would die, I couldn't put myself through that.

I've never been that far west in the US - I've only visited the east coast.

I can't remember much about the story - it was a trilogy, I think. Was the second book called Thunderhead? But I know I loved it, and I wouldn't have read and reread it if it'd had an unhappy ending!

I highly recommend a visit to Shosh's Rockies. It's so unutterably beautiful up there.

And, of course, if she's there with you, the company is excellent as well. =)

I remember seeing slashsn messages of yours, but I don't think we really started interacting until we were both on LJ, possibly still somehow through SN fandom, like inthetallgrass, or through SV or a random friend's recommendation or . . . I don't know, but it was definitely quite some relative time ago. I first got to know Signe on LJ because of mutual SV fannishness, also some time ago, but more recently than when I got to know you, Shosh.

Gee, you mean, I wasn't a topic of constant conversation (amidst all the gushing over sweaty soldiers) between you two? I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked! ;-)

Ooh, yay, I'm glad to see that compared to how you'd been feeling about the fandom a year or so ago.

Indeed! I did post a reply not too long ago to one of your recs entries, I think, but I'm not sure whether or not you see those comments.

Hee -- great, thank you. =)

Ah, I do vaguely remember that now you've reminded me - I just got behind in answering comments, so gave up on answering all the community ones. Bad me!

No worries. It's not as though I can throw any stones about delays in comment/entry replies!

I think I was merely babbling about Merlin anyway, which is something I do a lot nowadays.
