Casting Call for you or any of your other theatre/dance friends
Hi Everyone!
I am sending this out for a friend, who is friends with the director. This is for the Shreveport/Bossier Area!
Big Willie Style: Port City, is an original creation by Creator/Co-Director James Palmer. James is a professional actor/musician. He has worked in feature film and on stage professionally for some time. He is extremely talented and created the Big Willie Style project a few years back with the debut at NSU in Natchitoches....since then it has gone through 2 more incarnations and now is on it's 3rd. The show is being produced by GS Productions.... their mission is to make a major effort to bring fresh theatre with educational value back into the mainstream of the region.
Big Willie Style or BWS is the culmination of the great bard himself, and that of Hip Hop, making it into a showcase and concert that will rock the house. The show calls for 8 actors of diverse culture and background and 3 additional dancers. Understudies are also needed as the current cast members are professional actors and may have conflicts with upcoming work. It is a non-paying gig but still requires a commitment that is professional. The concert that will be given is scheduled for a 4 to 7 night run at MLP theatre on Centenaries campus. Work space for the show will be varied until MLP opens up for us in late May early June. The show opens on June 19Th and will run to the 29Th. Rehearsals begin on the 10Th with a read through.

Submissions should be sent electronically asap to both emails.....submissions need to include a head shot and resume. Hard copies of these will be required at scheduled audition times for the actors/dancers. The audition will require (for actors) a 1 min. Shakespeare monologue and 16 bars of a Hip Hop song or be prepared to freestyle.
