(no subject)
Today was a good day. I didnt really do much today (which is why it was good). I stopped by my granny's house today. Shes like a snowbird, so she was gone for the summer and she just got back in time for winter. I love her ...she's an awesome granny. Anyways we were chatting about Va. (where shes from) and all my visits during summer to her house and just remembering the good times. She brought back pictures that she had left there and one of them was a picture of me about 6 or 7 yrs old sitting in my grandpa's lap and driving the boat in the bay. Its so cute I wish I had that picture so I could post it for everyone to see. Anyways she also showed me all of these old pictures of my grandpa, some with his brothers, some when he was little, and some of him just having fun. And I felt like I discovered a part of my grandpa that I never knew before. I dont remember him being a party guy and looking so lively. I feel like maybe I never even knew him at all. I should have known him better I think. Then she gave me his old Schooner Bay hat (pronounced Skooner). I've been wearing it all day and havent taken it off yet. I missed him alot today. And I went driving yesterday and I went over my first speed bump. I think he would have been proud of me ...seeing how I moved from driving his boat to actually driving a car.
