I’m not in Mexico like half of my Argumentative writing class, but I think I got the better deal: I got to go to State to see very cool people Saturday!!
I drove home Friday morning and it took about 2 hours because M-14 was completely shut down. My dad took me out to lunch! Then I went to my sister’s skating lesson with my mom. I went to Jason’s house later and we chilled in his basement for awhile then had dinner at his house (it was actually the same thing I’d had for lunch… broccoli parmesan fettuccini alfredo… yummy!) Then we went to Mr. B’s, to Caribou for hot chocolate (with whipped cream and cookie crumble! I’m such a kid… I actually requested the cookie crumbles). We fell asleep at my house and j tucked me in.
Then Saturday Megan had a skating competition in Royal Oak (5th in Compulsory, 4th in Freeskate! Congrats!) I left for State straight from there, got to Jen’s dorm at around 8 (parked in “the crotch.” Hah.) We were going to go to a James Bond party, but it was a no-jeans cocktail type deal and nobody wanted to get that dressed up. So I hung out with Jen, Patricia, Sandy, Scott, Dave, Mark, Kyle and Ayaka from the hall. We ordered Pokey Sticks (just like a cheese pizza with no sauce, plus some seasoning) and watched some quality television . Then took a quick trip to the tracks to meet up with some people, then went to Ashley’s dorm room where other people were… and some people put toothpaste on the neighbors’ mirror and then the girl came home all pissed off and hilariously drunk. She came in the room and was like, “I’m not mad or anything, I just think it’s really creepy that you crept in my room and put toothpaste on my mirror. Somebody clean it up.” She ended up staying in the room for at least the next two hours, and it was hilarious. She came up with nicknames for people-- Scott was Shaq (Uh, hoop earrings=basketball=shaq?) and henry was jailbird (because he was sitting behind the ladder…). She kept playing really bad music and then singing along to it and getting mad at everyone (“I don’t want any of you to think I hate you… But I’m mad at you… and you and you and you… But baaaaby, I’m not mad.”) aaahhhh hilarious.
Finally fell asleep around 6. The next “morning” (around 1:30) we went to get donuts at QD’s. Yum. Then Jen and I went to see Jenny (Brittany and Megan’s friend) in a dance competition with the Rochester Dance Team. They were so good! The competition was kind of random, with lots of cheer teams and a line dance team. Uh, ok. And the parents’ section right beside us for this all-star cheer team with kids who had to have been 6 on it were jumping up and down and shaking Gatorade bottles filled with rice or something and had bull horns… how embarrassing. Jen and I were so glad our parents were never like that.
Then it was time to go home . I had a great time and hopefully I’ll get to do it again sometime!
P.S. I bought a new dressy black tube top thing that’s really pretty. It’s one of those really long ones that are almost dresses but if you didn’t wear anything under it you’d pretty much be a whore so you wear jeans and feel kinda iffy about your outfit. From Max Studio. Cannot wait to wear it! Ah. Just had to get that out. I haven’t been shopping in awhile.
