Oh please - if House is his daddy and Cuddy is his mommy - those are some winning genes.

But, no, beauty doesn't have to come from the outside. Take Hugh Laurie - he isn't what you'd traditionally call "beautiful" - I mean, especially in his younger years, he looked downright goofy sometimes. But, his brilliance and his humor and all that make him very attractive, and his eyes are a very big plus.

Anyways, it's so sad...I know, deep down (unless I'm like Cameron, but you know...) - House has a good heart. He's just been through the wringer more than a few times - and has gotten jaded to everything and all that. But, I want to believe that deep down, he has good intentions and a good heart. I mean - you watch how he treats children, and you sorta see this.

[I hope you don't mind my long wind-drawn comments, lol]

I just, I would hate for him to be dying in a long way (like, the entire last season is devoted to his dying process) - and him *finally* discover that there is good in life, and that there is good in himself. It would be so sad.

I'm diddling in a fic sorta about that - he meets a woman (well, mid 20s) who's pretty perfect world is falling and breaking, and she becomes rejected from all her circles for her choices, etc etc. And she handles all this stuff that kinda mirrors House's life in a different way than he has, and it intrigues him - and when their relationship ends - he realizes that good people are out there, and in a way - even good people are bad, and he doesn't change, but he rethinks things. It sounds kinda fangirlish, but I've had it in my head forever - and with school in session, I have to get it out of my head so I can focus on my studies.

Oh definitely good genes, but he doesn't consider himself to be attractive...and of course I get his version in my head ^^ The rest of the family thinks he's gorgeous, but they are biased.

No worries, I like long comments ^^

And yeah, the way he deals with children is what started me even thinking this way, that he would treat a child more like an adult, bc he gives everyone the same amount of (dis)respect.

Hah, I know that feeling. Sometimes it hurts to be stuck at work, when I really just want to get a fic on paper so it'll quit stabbing me ^^
