Easter
well, i'm about ready to head back to kzoo from saginaw. i had a really great time here with my parents, and since i stayed sun-mon-tue-wed, i got to spend some time by myself too, in the peace and quiet of my first home.
my mom and dad ate tofu stirfry that i made, and they really liked it; i'm so happy that i have the parents i do. they are really open minded- they try new things and let me speak my piece when i need to. my dad said something that made me beam with pride, "the older i get, the more things i want to do." my dad used to be the sit around drink beer watch outdoors channel kinda guy. well he still is, but now he's like, happy to travel. hurray!
even though we don't celebrate easter like the church does, we get to use the holiday as an excuse to get together. this year it was nice that my sister and i, and my brother and his girlfriend of forever, and my parents all sat down for a few hours and had a meal. that doesn't happen every day because becky and i live out of town, and our schedules make it hard to get together. so, cheers to my family, and thank goodness i didn't have to leave the house at all.
