First of all...
I went to the beach today with some friends. Neeta picked us up at West Village and we took a drive out to Humarock, MA (which is a village of Scituate, HA! Whatever that means) Anyway, it really made me miss the Men, and our beach days. Even when I got there and saw the water and felt the sea breeze. Honestly though, what made me miss them most of all, was the drive. Music on, laughing, singing along...I know I have PMS, but it almost made me cry. I realize that there are definitely some things you can never go back to, but today for a minute, I closed my eyes and I was there. We were heading toward Erin's grandmother's house, Erin driving the Honda, me and Al in the back, Cas picking up shotgun. Grooving to whatever great song happened to be on the radio--feeling the sun warm the car. I can't explain it, but it just felt nice. Almost like home feels after you have been away for a while. The day was different...Not your typical "Men's Bonding"--Although there was a ton of food, it just wasn't "Men Food". I kept thinking of when Cas spit ice cream across the table at Erin...LOL, it made me smile more than once today! (You just had to be there!)
Anyway, I am feeling rather nostalgic...and just wanted to put that out there. I know those days are now just fond memories, but it doesn't hurt to dip into the past once in a while!
Second of all...
It was another Greg story...I started writing it and decided it wasn't worth writing. Sorry, but today there is no second of all--Everything is peachy keen.
Much Love,
Nic
