I got a really great compliment from one of my classes today.
The students were complaining about some of the other new teachers:
Me: Well, they're still new.
Student 1: Yeah, but you're new and you know how to teach.
Student 2: Yeah, if you hadn't told us that you were a new teacher we wouldn't have known.
Guess that means I'm doing something right.
Things are going pretty well. Teaching is a ton of work, but it's not so bad.
In other news, my certification number was finally posted today. Apparently, it just takes emailing the nice lady who works at that desk in Baton Rouge. She had replied telling me she was going to look into it, and replied again telling me my certification number before I could even check my email again.
So, maybe I'll get paid this month afterall.
