I'm not fond of sales. I can only "sell" something if I fully believe in it and the services that back it. I've sold our services and brought in thousands in accounts over the years; but, I will only sell services that mesh with the type of business and actual need. I hate that our sales staff typically sells the biggest service packages we have without inquiring as to NEED! They often make me want to rip their faces off.

I wish my job would make me redundant so I could go back to school! Unfortunately, my absence has reinforced the fact that the only individual who can successful do my job is me. It has taken the efforts of nearly 6 people to cover only about half of what should have been done. More importantly, NO ONE WANTS MY JOB, hence the utter and total lack of attention to detail and associated support.

The Fat-Bastard totally left me hanging. I patiently wait for Karma to kick his ass all over the place. He's got quite a bit coming. The place is an absolute cluster fuck and I will have to impart the details of this catastrophe to the big boss on Monday, which will reinforce the BLAH that is usually Monday.

You seem to be bouncing back fairly well considering the lovely exchanges between you and your boss. Kudos!

Well, the boss isn't really that bad... I was almost certainly overreacting a bit, which is understandable, given the circumstances...

I can't sell things I don't believe in, either, which is why I was crap at the wall coating sales job. I very quickly learned that the stuff was crap, and that the guarantee was worthless. Ane worse yet, that management lied about it - They must think the sales staff was born yesterday if they expect them to believe the bullshit I was fed. Worse, the senior management actually believed their own bullshit!

What I sell now, wood burning stoves, I see in action, I see how good they are, live in our showroom. I believe in the products - and in fact I usually steer customers away from products that we sell that I have less faith in!

You should hear me waxing rhapsodic about the Barbas and Bell-fires range of gas and wood fires! *snigger*
