I just read an election manifesto leaflet from
The Common Sense Party. Quite honestly, there wasn't anything there I was totally opposed to. One or two policies I thought were borderline, like reducing net immigration to zero and sending home anyone who "doesn't belong here" (Sounds good in theory, but in practice could be very similar to BNP policies, BNP being the British National Party - aka the British Nazi Party); and using "deterrent sentencing" to deter repeat offenders (again sounds good in theory, but the words are in inverted commas on the document, implying that even they don't know what they mean).
But I have a strong inclination to actually vote for them!
Sure, they won't get in, but parties like that are going to win a lot more votes this time around simply because everyone is fed up with the "big three".
If I get the chance, I'll ask Mr Howard Thomas (The CSP candidate and incidentally the party leader) exactly what he means by those two particular manifesto pledges!
